I went for a walk at lunch and the sun flickering through the leaves overhead reminded me of Kurosawa’s film Rashomon. The scene where the woodcutter walks through the forest and the camera points directly at the sun has always stuck in my head. I vaguely remember something about this being the first time ever, well at least in cinema, that this had been done before. Something as simple as pointing the camera at the sun being deemed new is a totally bizarre concept now. As usual, my thoughts wandered all over the place and as I continued to walk, I finally settled on taking this photo.
